WIENCO SUPPORTS NEW TELEVISION SERIES ON ENVIRONMENT

The TV series, which is another innovation, organizers of the annual Environmental Film Festival of Accra, will showcase very sensitive and insightful environmental pictures, and will be followed by a panel discussion with ace broadcaster Mr. Kwaku Sakyi Addo. The Environment Channel is to bring a paradigm shift in the fight to protect and preserve the environment.

Again, The Environmental Channel series comes at an era when the world’s greatest headache is neither HIV nor War, but Climate Change. This Initiative by is, therefore, not only innovative, but also an indication that individually and communally, we can contribute our quota towards the fight against the diverse unbridled environmental challenges in our society, even in the face of the challenges that characterized the Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change in 2009.

The launch of the television series which was held at the Silverbird Entertainment, inside Accra Mall, attracted dignitaries like the Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Hon Sherry Ayittey, and other Diplomatic corps.

Wienco was of the conviction that Environmental Channel shall exceed its purpose and also serve as a vital tool for awareness creation, behavioral change and a collective fight against negative environmental practices.
